Milly Shapiro, 15, has been performing since she was a toddler.

Cast as one of the four original Matildas in the Broadway production of Matilda the Musical (a role which later earned Shapiro and her co-stars a Tony Honour for Outstanding Broadway Debut), she’s no stranger to the limelight in theatre circles. However, the young actress is now turning her hand to film work, making her screen debut as one of the lead characters in the film Hereditary, set for a June release. Shapiro plays Charlie Graham in the horror flick, which premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, and her chilling performance has already won praise from several critics, with many tipping her as an up and coming 'child horror-movie icon'.
